Deciding to go off campus for housing can be intimidating, at least it was for us because of how little we knew about the process. Having gone through the process, we can confidently say the process sucks.

All we cared about was finding a nice property within our budget that was near our school, and we tended up spending hours going through the cycle of scrolling all the popular websites, contacting properties, discovering some were unavailable, going on tours, not liking any of the properties, then scrolling through websites again. It wasn’t until we leaned on the expertise of a real estate agent that they recommended us properties, and we very quickly found and signed a lease on a property we liked.

So we made Stenant, with the goal to make off campus housing easier for students by connecting them to an agent that has expertise in the student’s desired area of housing. Agents do their job of presenting housing options, scheduling tours, and do all the labor intensive tasks that are associated with finding an off campus home so students can focus on making informed decisions.
